Shaykh al-ʾAllāmah Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān (حفظه ٱللّٰه) was asked: Is knowledge to be taken from a man who has slandered a muslim (with fornication) in a house from among the houses of Allāh (a masjid) and there are many observations upon him?
He (حفظه ٱللّٰه) replied: If he does not repent and seek apology from the one who was slandered, then knowledge is not taken from him.
