Abū Ḥāmid Aḥmad bin Abī Ṭāhir Al-Isfarāʿīnī (d.406AH) said about the Tafsīr of Abū Jaʾfar Moḥammad Ibn Jarīr Aṭ-Ṭabarī (d.310AH),
If a man travelled to China in order to acquire the Tafsīr of Moḥammad bin Jarīr, it would not be considered too much (travel given it’s great value)
